“Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Seniors at Home in Stockton Springs” Third Annual Speakers’ Series will present:

Dr. Beatrice Szantyr, MD, FAAP and Constance “Happy” Dickey, RN to discuss what you and your family should know about the causes,

incidence and difficulties of medical diagnosis and the steps you should take to protect yourself and family. Q & A at end of talk.

Mad Hatter Tea Party at Stockton springs Community Library Saturday, April 14th

The Stockton Springs Community Library (SSCL) will celebrate National Library Week with a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” for children of all ages on Saturday, April 14th at 11:00 am.

Come to SSCL and enjoy sandwiches, fruit, cookies, juice, kid friendly tea, and of course the topsy turvy cake. The story will be Alice in Wonderland. There will also be games, activities and surprises.

Children’s events at SSCL are always a great time so we hope you’ll join us!

National Library Week is April 8 – 14.

This year’s theme is “Libraries Lead.”

Award Winning Animated Film “Coco” at Stockton Springs Community Library Wednesday, April 18th

The Stockton Springs Community Library (SSCL) invites everyone to come to the library on Wednesday, April 18th at 6:15 pm for a showing of the award-winning animated film Coco.

Coco is the story of young Miguel, an aspiring musician, who is confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music. Miguel goes on a journey to the Land of the Dead to find his great great grandfather, a legendary musician.

Coco won an Oscar and a Golden Globe award for Best Animated Feature Film, in addition to dozens of other awards.

Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal and blanket. There will be refreshments and beverages. The event is free. For more information call the library at 207-567-4147.

Tai Chi change in time

The time for Tai Chi has changed. It is now meeting on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:00 am. This change is in effect for the next 7 weeks. The place has not changed. Tai Chi meets in the Stockton Springs Town Hall, lower level. Come join us!
