The 4th Annual GREAT EVENT is Coming to Stockton Springs September 7th!

Stockton Springs Community Library (SSCL) will host the 4th annual GREAT EVENT on Saturday, September 7th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The grounds of the Library and Town Office will once again be filled with a Giant Yard Sale, Barbecue, Bake Sale, Strawberry Shortcake, Homemade Donuts, Children’s Activities, Games, Face Painting, and much more! 

Celebrate the end of summer at this festive event! Find bargains, enjoy good food, see old friends and meet new ones at THE GREAT EVENT!

There are still a few spaces available in the yard sale. If you’d like to rent a space at THE GREAT EVENT Giant Yard Sale you should come to the library soon during open hours. Library hours are Monday 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Tuesday 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Thursday 9:00 am – Noon and 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. To reserve your space you must fill out an application and pay in advance either by check or cash. Spaces are approximately 10’ x 15’. Cost is $35. You may bring your own table or you can rent a table for an extra $5. Organizations and crafters are also welcome to rent space in the Giant Yard Sale. THE GREAT EVENT will happen rain or shine. Maine Farmland Trust at the Stockton Springs Community Library

All are welcome to attend a presentation and short film screening by the Maine Farmland Trust at the Stockton Springs Community Library.

Attendees will learn more about the Maine Farmland Trust, the current land and farming trends being seen throughout the state, and why supporting local farmers and growers is so important. This session will also provide an excellent opportunity to share resources and network with local farmers and gardeners. 

The presentation is scheduled from 6 – 7 p.m. on Monday, August 5th at the library, located at 6 Station Street in Stockton Springs and will be followed by a question and answer session and refreshments.
