Tai Chi now being held on Tuesdays and Fridays in Stockton Springs

Tai Chi classes are now being held on Tuesdays in addition to the regular Friday schedule. Whether you are hoping to increase your skill by adding on an additional day of practice, or are new to Tai Chi, you are sure to find it an enjoyable, gentle form of exercise.

Tai Chi classes are held on Tuesdays, from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Stockton Springs Town Office. Suggested donation to cover the cost for Tuesday classes is $3.00. Everyone is welcome.

Friday Tai Chi is held from 9:30 to 11:00 am, also at the Stockton Springs Town Office, lower level. Free to Stockton Springs residents.

Colcord House Revised May 2018 Calendar

The calendar has been revised to reflect that the Lego Program ended in April. The SSCL Board meeting on May 8th is at 6:30. The Stockton Springs Historical Society will meet a little earlier than usual at 1:15 on Sunday, May 6. Also that hot dogs, chips, and iced tea will be available. There will not be any Tai Chi on May 19th because the Death Café will be meeting at the Town Hall where Tai Chi usually takes place.  If you want to download a copy of the calendar you can do so on the Bulletin Board page.

Library receives 2018 grant from Maine Charity Foundation Fund

Stockton Springs Community Library is pleased to announce the receipt of a grant from the Maine Charity Foundation Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. The 2018 grant will be overseen by the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” volunteer group at the library to support the 2018 Speakers’ Series and January-June weekly Tai Chi classes.

The Speakers’ series is beginning its third year and has monthly talks on topics to inform and educate seniors of their health and legal choices. There will be a variety of new speakers and topics in 2018!
