Art in the Stacks Exhibition at Stockton Springs Community Library Will Feature Work by the SSCL Wednesday Art Group

Stockton Springs Community Library (SSCL) will exhibit works by the SSCL Wednesday Art Group beginning Saturday, May 4 and continuing through Saturday, June 8 as part of the library’s Art in the Stacks offerings.

Participating artists are Jo Swift, Linda Bradstreet, Nancy Hamilton, Cher Jones, El Morse, Polly Reynolds, Sharon Tzinskis, Jan Ward, Janet Williams, and Julie Hallowell. The exhibition will feature paintings and pottery.

The sale of artwork will benefit the library and the artists. One painting, Daffodils by Jo Swift, will invite bids in a silent auction, which will take place throughout the exhibition.

The Art in the Stacks exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours: Mon. & Wed. 3 – 5 pm, Tues. 4 – 7 pm, Thurs. 9 am – noon and 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and Sat. 9 am – 3 pm. SSCL is located in the heart of downtown Stockton Springs at the corner of Station St. and Main St.

SSCL is also currently engaged in a raffle to raise funds for the all-volunteer library. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at SSCL during open hours. The drawing for a $100 gift card to Stone Fox Creamery will take place on June 8th at SSCL’s annual Book, Bake, and Plant Sale.
