Please visit their website and/or call them for further information.

PORTLAND: AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-based tax preparation and assistance service, has announced that it will suspend tax preparation services at all sites effective Monday, March 16, until further notice. The action is due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus. The program’s website, www.aarpfoundation.org/taxaide and toll-free number 1-888-227-7669, are the best resources for information and updates regarding changes in service availability.

Library closing March 16-30.

The safety of our staff and patrons is our priority. Out of an abundance of caution, Stockton Springs Community Library will be closed from today, March 16 through March 30. At that time we will assess the situation and make a determination whether to open or remain closed.

With information changing daily, we encourage families to stay up to date on information regarding COVID-19 and protect yourself and the community.

The following advice is from the Maine CDC site. https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/infectious-disease/epi/airborne/coronavirus.shtml

The Maine CDC is preparing for the potential spread in Maine of the respiratory illness called COVID-19, caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. We urge Maine people to practice good hand hygiene, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home if you are sick. If you are concerned that you have been exposed to COVID-19, call your health care provider, who will determine whether you should be tested and, as appropriate, submit a sample for testing.
